Powering Industrial Innovation at Tavaux, France
PTEM played a strategic role in Project Spritz, a major industrial expansion at the Solvay chemical platform in Tavaux, France. In partnership with Syensqo, PTEM contributed its expertise to the construction and commissioning of a new PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) production plant.
This facility represents a key component in the European supply chain for high-performance polymers, supporting the growing electric vehicle battery market.
Project Spritz: Delivering High-Tech Infrastructure
PTEM’s involvement focused on the mechanical and operational complexity of the PVDF plant, ensuring high-precision chemical processes were translated into a safe and efficient industrial facility.
1. Specialized Construction Management
- Advanced Piping & Vessel Integration: Installation of corrosion-resistant piping systems and reaction vessels for PVDF production.
- Modular Assembly: Coordination of process modules integration within the existing site infrastructure.
- Safety & Compliance: Compliance with SEVESO-level safety standards required for chemical operations.
2. Technical Commissioning
- Loop Testing & Calibration: Validation of automated systems managing pressure and temperature conditions.
- Mechanical Completion: Cold commissioning to test systems integrity, fluid dynamics, and equipment performance.
- Operational Handoff: Hot commissioning to safely initiate production and deliver first PVDF batches.
Impact: Sustaining the Energy Transition
